There were over 20 bulky picture albums on the shelves. Pulling one out to look at meant spending more time “sticking” the ones that were falling out back in than enjoying them.
Over the years, the kids had taken some to school for projects and somehow they never made it back to their spots in the album.
There were boxes of pictures still in the envelopes from the processor, filling the closets. Trays of slides in the basement. Reels of film and tons of video cassettes tossed into boxes.
When going through our own or our parents’ albums, there were pictures of events – the dates forgotten, people – sometimes vaguely familiar. Sometimes you’d swear you never saw them before in your life!
Have you gone through your parents’ pictures and found an old one of someone who looks remarkably like one of your kids? If you are lucky, someone is still around to tell you who it is. If not, those images, once so important to loved ones, are meaningless.
We realized that with the digital age finally here, it was time to ‘turn back time’ where possible and to preserve more recent memories for future generations. A Page Is Turned was born!

“Thank you for the beautiful work you did on our 60-year-old video footage! It was such a treasure to see my mom as a little girl. You do beautiful work!”

“My mother-in-law loved the reprints I made of her father and mother using the restored images you created. Brought tears to her eyes.”
“We’ve loaded onto our computer many of our old slides of Africa and other travels that you transferred for us. Now we use it for screen saver and enjoy looking at them. You did a great job for us.”
“I just want to thank you for the DVD’s and tell you how much we’ve enjoyed watching them! You did a great job. We are so happy with how well they turned out. We’ll be dropping off more soon!
Thanks again! We’ve laughed and cried and been blessed all over again!”
“My mom was thrilled with the video clips you transferred to DVD for us. Thank you for all the negatives you digitized for me too!”
“Thank you for your extra efforts in restoring this picture. It is just as I remember it to be originally over 45 years ago. It brought tears to my eyes. It looks just like it should. My father-in-law will be stunned that it has been brought back to life once again and he will be able to look at his oldest son as he really did in 1961 when that picture was taken. My husband and I had known each other since high school and were sweethearts from then on. We were married in 1964. I am going to call my father-in-law as soon as I send this to tell him the good news. “
